This study deals with the synthesis and characterization of three new precursors (HDa, HDb and HDi) and three new of dithiocarbamate (DTCs) ligands<\/span><\/h3>\n

KL1=potassium (1,5-dimethyl-3-oxo-2-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)(5,5-dimethyl-3-oxocyclohex-1-en-1-yl)carbamodithioate.<\/span><\/h3>\n

KL2=potassium benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl(5,5-dimethyl-3-oxocyclohex-1-en-1-yl) carbamodithioate.<\/span><\/h3>\n

KL3=potassium(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)(5,5-dimethyl-3-oxocyclohex -1-en-1-yl)carbamodithioate.<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Two steps synthetic procedures were used to obtain the above ligands and this was based on the preparation of enaminone precursors that reacted with carbon disulphide in presence of KOH to get the ligands (KL1, KL2 and KL3). All the prepared ligands were characterized using 1HNMR, 13CNMR, Mass, FT-IR, C.H.N.S, UV-Vis, TGA. The reaction of the DTCs ligands with some metal ions produce complexes of general formula [M(Ln)2]\u00a0 where n=1,2,3. Where M(II)=(Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Pd, Cd) using ethanol as a solvent.<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The mixed ligand complexes were also prepared from of dithiocarbamate salts, 8-hydroxyquinoline, 3-aminophenol and metal ion M, where M(II)=(Co, Ni, Zn) using ethanol as a solvent and KOH as a base.<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The complexes of the composition [M(Ln)(Q)], [M(Ln)(P)] and characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis, elemental analysis(A.A), melting point measurement, C.H.N.S, Conductivity , magnetic susceptibility and TGA.<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The value molar conductance measurements of complexes in DMSO solutions (see Table (3.43),(3.44)),indicating their nonelectrolyte behavior . The data are in agreement of the magnetic moments value of Meff (see Table (3.41),(3.42)) indicating for tetrahedral geometry complexes and square planer geometry about Pd(II) complexes. The biological activity of the ligands and their complexes [M(Ln)2], [M(Ln)(P)] and [M(Ln)(Q)] were studied using inhibition zone method which showed that some of complexes are more active than the ligands.<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The inhibition effect of their ligands (KL1,KL2,KL3) an \u03b1-brass corrosion was studied with the concentration of the ligands 10-3 mol.dm-3 in media of three pH values 2,4 and 7 and 0.6 mol.dm-3NaCl solution over the room temperature 298K. The study indicated that ligands acts as inhibitor in pH=4 and pH=7, while they acts as accelerator in pH=2.<\/span><\/h3>\n
