Summary<\/span><\/h3>\n

The study included the test of the efficacy of two species of fungus Aspergillus niger, Trichoderma harzianum and two species of algae Chloro coccumhumicola and Chlorella vulgaris. In the removal and degradation of the elements of cadmium and chromium and residues of the pesticide Glyphosate in water media exposed to pollution of these pollutants. The study included several axes:<\/span><\/h3>\n

The first axis was the collection of fungi and algae samples from the natural environment (water of the Tigris River) from the city of Baghdad, and in three different locations (opposite the city of Al-Kadhimia, the city of medicine, near Doura refinery). The properties of the three sites of temperature, pH, turbidity, conductivity, percentage of sodium salts and total dissolved solids (TDS) were also measured. Differences in the diversity of fungi and algae were found to be different due to different sources of pollution.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The second axis ensures the isolation and diagnosis of fungi and algae in vitro. Eight species of local fungi, Trichoderma harzianum, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillusterreus, Fusarium sp., Penicillium sp. andMucor sp., and five species of algae, Chlorococcumhumicola, Chlorella vulgaris, Scenedesmus sp., Chlamydomonassp. andDiatom\u00a0 were repeated in water samples taken from the three sites. After isolating and cultivating the liquid and solid culture, two isolates of fungi A. niger, T. harzianum, C. humicola and C. vulgaris were selected from algae for use in bioremediation<\/span><\/h3>\n

The third axis: the design of experiments to test the tolerance and the effect of the presence of different concentrations of cadmium, chromium and Glyphosate in solid and liquid media on A. niger, T. harzianum,C. humicola and C. vulgaris. The fungi were introduced to concentrations (5, 10,15,20,25 mg \/ L-1 of cadmium and chromium and (50,100,200,300) mg \/ L-1 of the glyphosate pesticide under controlled laboratory conditions of (25 \u00b1 2 pH = 6 \u00b1 2). Algae were exposed to concentrations (2.5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, 15, 20, 25) (1,2,3,4,5) mg \/ L-1 of Cd and Cr respectively, and concentrations of (25, 50, 75,100) mg \/ L-1 of the pesticide under simple laboratory conditions (pH = 7 \u00b1 2), 3000 Luxe, 16 hours of illumination and 8 darkness. Two types of culture medium were used for this purpose, The results were recorded at (0, 6 and 12) days for fungi and (0, 3,6, 9 and 12) days for algae.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Axis 4: The experiments examined the bioremediation and biodegradation of A. niger, T.harzianum, C. humicola and C. vulgaris for concentrations of heavy metals and residues of glyphosate and calculated the percentage of treatment.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Axis 5: The synergistic effect of Cd and Cr was studied by selecting concentrations 10 and 25 and of 20 and 25 mg\/L-1, which obtained the highest percentage of removal by the fungus A. niger and T.harzianum. 12.5 and 1 for C.humicola, 2.5 and 1 mg\/L-1 for C. vulgaris and respectively for their effect on biomass and calculation of the removal efficiency of both fungi and algae in the static and moving media.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The results of the study showed the following<\/span><\/h3>\n

The stress tests showed a variation of the tested organisms. In the case of Cd and Cr exposure, A. niger recorded higher resistance when Cd was present in the liquid medium and higher efficiency in the most of the static medium, while T.harzianum recorded better growth with chromium in the moving medium More than in the most of the transactions, and showed A.niger High tolerance to high pesticide concentrations in the static medium than in the moving medium while T.harzianum showed mobility efficiency.<\/span><\/h3>\n

In the case of algae, the results showed that the tolerance of high C.humicola of Cd and Cr, while C.vulgaris was characterized by the ability to tolerate low concentrations of the element Cd and the efficiency of less tolerance of the element of chromium, and both species have the ability to withstand the recommended limits of the pesticide Glyphosate The carrying capacity of the C.humicola moss was greater than that of C. vulgaris and in the moving medium than in the static mediumand it was observed that the density of algae growth was measured to the maximum on day 12 of the experiment .<\/span><\/h3>\n

The results of the removal of minerals showed that T. harzianum recorded the highest cadmium removal rate of 76.3% at concentration of 20 mg \/ L -1 in the static media and chromium 79.7% at concentration of 25 mg \/ L -1 in the moving medium followed by A. niger Which recorded the highest removal rate of cadmium 53.6 at the concentration of 10 mg \/L-1 while for chromium 65.4% at the concentration of 25 mg \/L-1 in the static media . As for the results of the degradation of the pesticide, the A. niger recorded a complete destruction rate of the 100% pesticide for the static and moving medium compared with T. harzianum, which had the highest breakdown rate of 76.9 -76.3% for the static and moving medium respectively at 50 mg \/L-1.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The results showed that the high efficiency of C. humicola was found with Cd, which was (98.80-99.5)% for the static and moving medium respectively at 12.5 mg \/ L -1<\/sup> while with Cr (76.6- 78.7) %at 1 mg \/ L -1<\/sup>, either C. vulgaris<\/em> was less effective with the highest clearance rate of (75.7-86.7)% Cd at concentration of 2.5 mg\/ L -1<\/sup> while with Cr (71.07-72.7)% at concentration of 1 mg \/L-1<\/sup>. The results showed the ability of C. humicola<\/em>to break down the Glyphosate by 61.1-78.5% at 25 mg\/L-1<\/sup> compared with C. vulgaris<\/em>, which had the highest fraction of (15.3-17.7)%at the concentration of 25 mg \/ L -1<\/sup> for the static medium And moving respectively.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The results of exposure of fungi and algae to the combined effect of Cd and Cr showed a slight difference in removal rates. The highest percentage of removal of A. niger<\/em> was recorded from Cd (57.62 -38.64)%, while with Cr (65.65 – 73.16)%,either for T.harzianum<\/em>was recorded from Cd (76.2-59.6) % and Cr (66.83-64.44)% for the static and moving medium respectively. For algae, the highest clearance rate for C. humicola<\/em> was found for Cd (94.71 – 98.40)% while Cr (66.82-83.26)%.
