On Wednesday, the 12th of December 2018, at the hall of Dr. Oraibi\u00a0 Al-Zoobai, The MSc thesis Discussion of Eman Ahmed Abdullatif from department of Mathematics entitled ( \u00a0On the Reliability Estimation in Multi component Stress- Strength Models: Different Failure Distribution )has been discussed\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Abstract\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

The main aim of this thesis is to find the mathematical formula of the reliability system for multicomponent in stress-strength model \u00a0, when the stress and the strength are identical independent random variables distributed as Generalized Exponential , Generalized Rayleigh and Exponentiation Pareto distributions, in addition estimated the reliability \u00a0using different estimation methods like: the Maximum Likelihood estimator (MLE), the Moment (MOM), the Shrinkage (Sh1,Sh2 and Th), the Percentile estimator (PCE), the Rank Set Sampling (RSS), and the Bayes (B) methods, and made a comparisons\u00a0 among the proposed estimators for the distributions mentioned using Monte-Carlo simulation depend on the Mean Square Error (MSE) criteria.<\/span><\/h3>\n

As a consequence, Monte-Carlo simulation approved that the Shrinkage methods using modified Thompson type shrinkage weight factor (Th) is the best in most cases when we checked it using Mean Square Error. That leads the Mean Square Error of this methods is less than the other methods.<\/span><\/h3>\n
