The Abstract<\/span><\/h3>\n

In this thesis, thermal evaporation under vacuum method used to deposita Pure Cadmium metal (Cd) onto glass and single crystal silicon wafer (111) substrates. Three steps have used to prepare the films: In the first step, Pure Cadmium metal (Cd) deposited on glass substrate to study the structural and optical properties, and on (p-Si)substrate to fabrication solar cell in R.T (300K) at thickness with deposition rate. The second step is the oxidation of the prepared films at temperature (573K) for one hour to get on Cadmium Oxide (CdO). In the third step, the CdO films have doped with (Tin, Antimony and Selenium) with doping ratios (0.5) percentage<\/span><\/h3>\n

The X-Ray diffraction results showed that all prepared films (pure and Sn, Se, Sb)-doped are polycrystalline and have cubic structure system with preferred orientation along (111) plane for all films. In addition, the doping ratio (0.5%) caused to decrease the grain size, shifting in diffraction angle and decreasing in Intensity of all peaks<\/span><\/h3>\n

The (AFM) results showed he effect of doping with (Sn, Se, Sb) on the (RMS) roughness, surface roughness and grain size of the films that are decreases with the doping ratio (0.5%), which identical with X-Ray diffraction analysis<\/span><\/h3>\n

The absorption spectra increasing with doping ratio, for the range of wavelength (400-1100) nm, while the transmission spectra decreasing with dopant (0.5%). The energy band gap decrease from (2.1) eV to (1.6) eV with doping, also the absorption coefficient as a function of photon energy increases with doping ratio (0.5%)<\/span><\/h3>\n

The (I-V)characteristics of solar cells, under dark and illumination, showed an increasing in the values of (\u03b7, F.F.) with respect to doping and increase in values of all (Jm, Vm, Jsc and Voc)<\/span><\/h3>\n

The (GIS) technique used to estimate the power of the solar radiation and the output power of the solar cells at south of Iraq region. The results show that the studied area is a very promising area for establishing solar cells farms<\/span><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
