On Monday, the 23th of December 2018, at the hall of the late Dr.Oraibi Al-Zoobai, The MSc. Thesis discussion of student Montasr \u00a0Ismail Adwan from department of Mathematics entitled (Analytic and Numerical Solutions For Non-Linear Differential Equations) )has been discussed<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0Abstract<\/span><\/h3>\n

The main aim of this thesis is to use three iterative methods implemented to get the approximate solutions for some important ODEs, PDEs that appeared in physics and engineering. The first objective of this thesis will be focus on some basic concepts of the differential equations and existence and uniqueness solution. The second objective is to implement the three proposed iterative methods, Tamimi-Ansari method namely (TAM), Daftardar-Jafari method namely (DJM) and Banach contraction method namely (BCM), which are using to find the approximate solutions to some of the problems that arise in physics such as Painlev\u00e9 I, Painlev\u00e9 II, Pendulum , and Falkner-skan equations. The obtained results are compared numerically with other numerical methods such as the Runge-Kutta 4 (RK4) and Euler methods. In addition, we had been presented several comparisons among this methods, Adomian decomposition method (ADM) and variational iteration method (VIM) with some conclusions and future works. Moreover, the convergence of the proposed methods \u00a0were given based on the Banach fixed point theorem. The results of the maximal error remainder values show that the present methods are effective and reliable. The third objective is to use the TAM, DJM and BCM to solve the 1D, 2D and 3D non-linear wave equations to get a new approximate solutions approaching to the exact solution. Also, the convergence analysis of the three methods will be using the Banach fixed point theorem. Each method does not require any assumption to deal with a nonlinear term. These methods are quite efficient and practically well suited for use in these problems. There are many examples that demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of this method.<\/span><\/h3>\n
