At the hall of the late Dr.Oraibi Al- zoobai in department of Mathematics, MSC .Thesis Discussion of student Al-Zahra’a Jabir Abdulnabi from department of Mathematics entitled (Analytic and Numerical Solutions for Differential Equations Arising from Physics and Engineering Problems)has been discussed<\/span><\/h3>\n

Abstract<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In this thesis, several reliable iterative and numerical methods have been used to find the analytical and numerical solutions for some differential equations that appeared in physics and engineering. The first objective is to use the three iterative methods which are proposed by Daftardar-Jafari namely (DJM), Temimi-Ansari namely (TAM) and Banach contraction namely (BCM) to find the analytic solutions for the Jeffery-Hamel problem, straight fins and radial fins problems. The second objective is to obtain the analytic solutions for the 1D, 2D and 3D hyperbolic telegraph equations by using the\u00a0 DJM, TAM and BCM.<\/span><\/h3>\n

In addition, we have been presented several comparisons among the proposed methods with the\u00a0 Adomian decomposition method (ADM) and variational iteration method (VIM). The numerical solutions were further achieved by using the fourth Runge-Kutta (RK4) method, Euler method and previous analytical methods that available in the literature. In addition, the maximum error remainder values are also evaluated which indicates that that the current methods are reliable, effective and applicable to solve a wide range of linear and nonlinear problems.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Our computational works have been done by using the computer algebra system MATHEMATICA\u00ae10 to evaluate the terms in the iterative processes<\/span><\/h3>\n
