The Levels of all studied parameters are not affected by presence or absence of the family history. In addition, there was no significant difference in the level of parameters based on the gender. Furthermore there was a correlation between exposure to negative smoke and level of C9; there was a significant increase in the level of C9 in patients exposed to negative smoke than in non-exposed patients. The C9-level mean in patients exposed to negative smoke was 119.08 \u00b1 5.45 and in non-exposed patients was 102.61 \u00b1 2.64. \u00a0There was also a significant increase in C9 in control exposed to negative smoke compared to control non-exposed, the mean of the control exposed to negatives moke 94.47 \u00b1 6.29, and the mean of healthy non-exposed was 83.07 \u00b1 2.25. Statistical analysis showed a significant inverse relationship between TGF- \u03b21 serum level and the TGF-\u03b2RIII gene expression in the patients group.But other positive and negative relationships between parameters were not significant.The two main groups of patients and healthy groups were divided into two subgroups depending on the age groups. The first group included ages 6-12 years, and the second group included ages 12-18 years. The results were consistent with the results of the main group in both subgroups. There was a significant increasing in the level ofTGF- \u03b21 in patients compared with healthy in both age groups. In the 6-12 age group, the mean of TGF- \u03b21 was 658 \u00b1 56.7, 345 \u00b1 20.1 in patients and healthy respectively. In the 12-18 age group, the mean of TGF-B1 was 626 \u00b1 83.7, 374 \u00b1 29.2 in patients and control groups respectively. There was no significant difference in the concentration ofTGF-\u03b21 between patients from both groups as well as the control of both groups.There was no significant difference in the NO concentration of patients and control in both age groups .Were the mean of NO concentration in the 6-12 age group was 404.1 \u00b1 2.6 410.3 \u00b1 3.8 in patients and control respectively. In 12-18 age group, the nitric oxide concentration mean was 418.1 \u00b1 3.2, 402.1\u00b1 2.9 in patients and control respectively. There was a significant increases in C9 level in patients of both age groups compared to the control of both groups. The mean of the C9 level in the 6-12 age group was 107.4 \u00b1 4.5 and 86.2 \u00b1 3.3 in patients and healthy respectively. In the 12-18 age group, the mean of C9 was 112.7 \u00b1 3.2 84.6 \u00b1 3.2 in patients and control respectively. There was no significant difference between the C9 levels in patients of both groups. In addition, there was no significant difference between the healthy people of the two groups. TGF-\u03b2RIII gene expression was significantly lower in both age groups patients. The mean of TGF-\u03b2RIII gene expression in patients and healthy individuals in the 6-12 age group respectively was 0.21 \u00b1 0.008 and 1.29 \u00b1 0.2.In the 12-18 age group, the mean of gene expression in patients and control respectively was 0.19 \u00b1 0.02 and 1.28 \u00b1 0.2.
