      This study was conducted at the College of Education for Pure Sciences (Ibn Al-Haitham)\/University of Baghdad. The aim of this study was to isolate and diagnose fungi from fish feed samples, and also detect aflatoxin B1 and ochratoxin A in fish muscles and feeds. Randomly, the samples were collected from some fish farms from Baghdad, Babil, Wasit, Anbar, and Salah al-Din provinces. This study included the collection of 35 feed samples and 70 fish muscle samples, and each of the two fish samples fed on one sample of the feed. The results showed the presence of several genera of different fungi including Aspergillusspp ,Mucorspp., Pencilliumspp., Yeast spp., Fussariumspp.,Rhizopusspp.,Scopilariosisspp.,Epicoccumspp.,Alternariaspp.,Cladosporiumspp., Botrytis spp.,Helminthosporiumspp.andTrichtheicumspp<\/span><\/h3>\n

      Aspergillus spp. was the most present in all feed samples by 48%, while the results of the detection of aflatoxin B1 showed a contamination in 53 sample of the total 70 samples of fish muscles, while the contamination was found in 34 samples of fish feed from a total of 35 samples. The concentrations ranged from 0-310 ppb in muscles and aflatoxin B1 concentration in feeds was 0-864 ppb<\/span><\/h3>\n

      The results of the detection of ochratoxin A revealed that 17 of fish muscles samples was contaminated with it of the total 70 samples, and contamination 13 feed samples of the total 35 feed samples. The concentration of ochratoxin A\u00a0 was 0-98 ppb in fish muscles, while in feeds it was 0-573 ppb<\/span><\/h3>\n

      The histopathological study in the fish muscles contaminated with Aflatoxin B1 at concentration (310 ppb) showed a lipid replacement which is a common feature of the muscles in the final stage.While in concentrations (162 ppb), Aflatoxin B1 resulted in the fracturing of muscular fibers and degeneration in the surrounding nuclei. Moreover, at concentration (30 ppb) it has showed the degeneration of muscular plasma appears to be pale in acidic color due to fiber degradation<\/span><\/h3>\n

      The histopathological study in fish muscles showed that the concentration of Ochratoxin A at 98ppb caused a fracture in muscular fibers and degeneration in surrounding nuclei. While at the concentration (56ppb) showed that muscular plasma appears pale in acid color due to degradation and fragmentation of muscular fiber. At concentration 43 ppb, a metallic aggregation was observed, while at 0ppb concentration of Aflatoxin B1 and Ochratoxin A, no tissue damage was observed<\/span><\/h3>\n

      The results of the immunohistochemistry study of the same concentrations that were used in the histopathological study using the immunoassay marker COX-2 for the concentration of Aflatoxin B1 at (310 ppb) concentration, it was found high immunological expression (+++). While at concentration 162 ppb, the immunological expression was (++), and was (+) at concentration 30 ppb. The expression for Ochratoxin A at concentration 98 ppb was (++) and was (+) at concentration 56 ppb in the muscles<\/span><\/h3>\n
