left\"><span style=\"color: #993366\">Abstract<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #993366\">Background: Latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA) is a heterogeneous disease, a clinical phenotype characterized by less severe autoimmunity than classical type 1diabetes (T1DM) and has common characteristics with type 2 diabetes (T2DM). Although LADA is undoubtedly associated with the T1DM, it has clinical features attributed to T2DM and LADA is often diagnosed for long periods T2DM. This is supported by the fact that the current methods used to diagnose this type of diabetes are inaccurate and controversial.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #993366\">Objective: Amis of this thesis to highlight the role of free radicals in the development of latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA).<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #993366\">Subjects and Methods: This study was conducted during the period from the end of December 2018 until the end of May 2019. A total of 60 patients were added to 30 apparently healthy individuals as a control group for comparison. The BMI was normalized between (18- 25) (kg\/m2), with all patients reviewing Center for Endocrinology and Diabetes at Al-Kindi Hospital. The patients were asked about the period that they were infected with diabetes, the type of treatment they take, weight(Kg), length(m) and waist circumference. Some tests were conducted at the center, others at Al-Qasim privet laboratory in Al-Sadr City, college of Health and Medical Technical of Baghdad and the Office of Scientific Progress in Al-Harithiya. They were divided into three groups<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #993366\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The first group (GI) was patients who take medications as tablets<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #993366\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A second group (GII) was Patients who take medications in the form of tablets and insulin by injection<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #993366\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A third group (GIII) was healthy people as control<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #993366\">Results: This study detected a significant increase in FSG, HbA1C,\u00a0 GAD-65, ICA, ROS and RNS levels in sera of patients with LADA compared with controls and a significant decrease in insulin, C-Peptide, TG, HDL-C, vitamin E levels in sera of patients with LADA compared to control groups. also, this study demonstrated a significant positive correlation relation between GAD-65 and HbA1C, HOMA-B and RNS and a significant negative correlation relation between GAD-65 and BMI, TG, VLDL-C and ROS in sera of patients with LADA compared with control groups<\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left\"><span style=\"color: #993366\">Conclusions: High glucose and Glycated Hemoglobin and the appearance of antibodies GAD-65, ICA in the sera of LADA patients.
