    \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The research aimed to find out the extent to which pivotal thinking skills are included in the mathematics text book for the third intermediate grade for the academic year (2019-2020), by answering the main research question<\/span><\/h3>\n

    What are the pivotal thinking skills included in the intermediate third grade math textbook? From which the below sub-questions are branched<\/span><\/h3>\n

    What are the percentages of pivotal thinking skills listed in the intermediate third-grade mathematics book<\/span><\/h3>\n

    What are the percentages for including pivotal thinking skills in each chapter of the third intermediate grade math book<\/span><\/h3>\n

    The descriptive (analytical) approach was used in the content analysis method for its suitability for the research objectives, and the research sample consisted of the scientific material in the mathematics textbook for the third intermediate grade, and the unit of idea was adopted, which may be explicit or implicit as a unit for recording and repetition as a unit of count<\/span><\/h3>\n

    In order to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher prepared a preliminary list of the main and subsidiary pivotal thinking skills after reviewing the studies that dealt with analyzing the content of text books according to the pivotal thinking skills. The list obtained an agreement of more than 80% of the opinions of the arbitrators<\/span><\/h3>\n

    The mathematics book was analyzed in its first and second parts according to the main and subsidiary pivotal thinking skills, sample of the analysis was presented to a number of arbitrators and they agreed on the correctness of the analysis process Then, the stability of the analysis was confirmed by re-analyzing after a specific period of time, and then using other analysts and obtained an agreement percentage that ranged between (86% -94%) using the Holsti equation<\/span><\/h3>\n

    The result of inclusion the mathematics book, in its first and second parts, was reached on the main and subsidiary pivotal thinking skills, with varying proportions, as the organizing skills got the highest percentage, reaching (25.4%) by (203) repetitions , and thus it got the first place in the inclusion, Then the Generation Skills with a percentage of inclusion (20.5%) by (164) repetitions in the second place, followed by (16.8%) analyzing skills by (134) repetitions in the third place, then Remembering skills with a percentage of inclusion (11.5%) with (92) repetitions in the rank Fourth, then evaluating skills at a rate of (8.6%) by (69%) repetitions in the fifth place, then integration skills with a rate of inclusion (7.6%) by (61) repetitions in the sixth place, and then concentration skills with an inclusion rate (6.7%) of (54) 2) repetitions , then information-gathering skills ranked eighth and last, with a percentage of inclusion (2.5%) of (20) repetitions.<\/span><\/h3>\n

    According to these results, a number of recommendations have been adopted including<\/span><\/h3>\n
