      \u00a0 The aim of the current research is to reveal the extent to which levels of mathematical understanding are included in the content of the mathematics book for the second intermediate grade for the academic year (2019-2020) AD, and to achieve the goal of the research, the researcher formulated the following question:<\/span><\/h4>\n

      \u00a0What is the percentage of availability levels of mathematical understanding in the content of the mathematics book for the second intermediate grade?<\/span><\/h4>\n

      In order to verify the previous question, the researcher chose the descriptive and analytical method for its relevance to the nature of the research goal, as the research community and its sample were from the content of the mathematics book for the second intermediate grade for the academic year (2019-2020) m, 2nd edition, by Amir Abdul Majeed Jassim and others, the content of the mathematics book was analyzed in two parts (First and second) for the second intermediate grade according to the analysis tool for levels of mathematical understanding, which consists of eight levels: (Primitive\u00a0 Knowing, Image Making, Image Having, Property Noticing, Formalizing ,Observing, Structuring, Inventioing),<\/span><\/h4>\n

      The number of analyzed pages reached (174) pages, and after the completion of the analysis, the validity of the tool was verified after presenting a random sample of the analysis to a group of arbitrators and specialists in methods of teaching mathematics and they unanimously agreed on the validity of the analysis, after that the objectives of the knowledge objectives of the mathematics book were derived and presented to some Among the arbitrators and specialists in the field of teaching mathematics, where the final number of cognitive goals reached (450) goals, which were analyzed according to the analysis tool for levels of mathematical understanding, as the number of times of repetition of the goal for each level in each chapter\u00a0 was calculated, and the stability of the analysis was calculated by agreement with the researcher himself\u00a0 over time and with outside analysts using the Holsti equation.<\/span><\/h4>\n

      The results, using iterations and percentages, for statistical treatment showed the following:<\/span><\/h4>\n

      \u00a0It was found that the first level (Primitive\u00a0 Knowing) ranked first with (110) iterations and a percentage of (24.44%), while the fifth\u00a0 level ( Formalizing) ranked second (105) iterations and a percentage of (23.33%), Then the third place went to the sixth level (Observing) by (54) iterations and a percentage of (12%), and the fourth place came to the fourth level (Property Noticing) by (52) iterations and a percentage of (11.55%), while the third level (Image Having), which ranked fifth with (49) times and a percentage of (10.88%), then the second level (Image Making), which ranked sixth with (39) times and a percentage (8.66%), while it was ranked seventh level The seventh (Structuring) by (21) iterations and a percentage (4.66%), while the eighth level (Inventioing) ranked eighth with (20) iterations and a percentage of (4.44%).<\/span><\/h4>\n

      \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In light of the results of this research, some conclusions were reached, including:<\/span><\/h4>\n

      1) Attention focused on the first level (Primitive\u00a0 Knowing) and the fifth level (Formalizing), and weak interest in the rest of the levels as it came in small percentages, and this means that there is a weakness in the arrangement of the book’s topics.<\/span><\/h4>\n

      2) An imbalance of cognitive objectives for the chapters of the book, but rather randomly.<\/span><\/h4>\n

      3) Weakness of the knowledge of specialists and those concerned with Preparation of the content of the mathematics book at levels of mathematical understanding, and that their distribution was random and irregular.<\/span><\/h4>\n

      According to the results of the research, the researcher recommended a number of recommendations, including: Taking into account the balance in the ratios of including levels of mathematical understanding in the content of the mathematics book for the second intermediate grade, so that one level does not overwhelm the rest of the levels.<\/span><\/h4>\n

      In continuation of the current research, the researcher suggested some suggestions, including:<\/span><\/h4>\n

      1) Conducting a similar study for other stages according to the levels of mathematical understanding.<\/span><\/h4>\n

      2) Conducting a similar study to find out how familiar mathematics teachers are to levels of mathematical understanding.<\/span><\/h4>\n

      3) Study the relationship between students and their teachers in levels of mathematical understanding.<\/span><\/h4>\n
