    Abstract <\/u><\/strong><\/h4>\n

    This study aims at identifying the extent to which visual thinking skills are included in the mathematics textbook for primary fourth grade (2019-2020) through answering the following research questions:<\/h4>\n

    What are the visual thinking skills included in the mathematics textbook for primary fourth grade? And answer the following sub-question:<\/h4>\n

    What are the ratios of including visual thinking skills in the mathematics textbook for primary fourth grade?<\/h4>\n

    . To achieve research objectives, the researcher prepared the descriptive (analytical) approach and content analysis were employed in proportion with research objectives. The research sample consisted of the scientific subjects \u00a0in the mathematics textbook for primary fourth grade, and the unit of form was adopted as a unit of analysis and frequency as a unit of calculation.<\/h4>\n

    The researcher prepared a preliminary list of visual thinking skills after reviewing the literature on the analysis of the content of mathematics textbooks according to visual thinking skills, then this list was presented to a jury panel, which included a number of experts in teaching methods. The list then obtained agreement of more than 85% of the opinions of the jury panel.<\/h4>\n

    The target mathematics textbook was analyzed according to the visual thinking skills. Then, a sample of analysis was presented to the jury panel, who agreed on the validity of the analysis process, then the reliability of results was confirmed by applying the retest method after a specific period with two different analysts, obtaining an agreement ratio ranging from (80%-93%)<\/h4>\n

    using Holsti equation. The results revealed that the mathematics textbook included visual thinking skills as follows: The skill of interpreting information got the highest percentage of (44.04%) with a frequency of (104) and thus got the first rank in the inclusion, followed by analyzing visual forms by (31.35%) with a frequency of (74). Then, the skill of reading visual forms ranked the third by (%12.71) with a frequency of (30), and finally the skill of inferring the visual form by (11.68%) with a frequency of (28) in the fourth place. According to these results, a number of recommendations were developed as follows:<\/h4>\n
