    Abstract<\/span><\/h3>\n

    The current research aimed to identify the creative problem solving skills of students of the College of Education for Pure Sciences \/Department of Chemistry, and the extent to which they possess creative problem solving skills and information generation, and to identify the relationship between creative problem solving skills and their information generation.<\/span><\/h3>\n

    The research was specified for the students of the College of Education for Pure Sciences – Ibn Al-Haytham \/ Department of Chemistry \/ the third stage, and for the academic year 2020-2021.<\/span><\/h3>\n

    \u00a0The method of The descriptive correlative research was adopted, and the size of the research sample was (373) third-year students, for the academic\u00a0 year 2020-2021.The researcher prepared two tools to achieve the objectives of the research, the first of which is the test of creative problem solving skills, which in its final form consisted of (27) paragraphs, of which (17) objective paragraphs and (10) essay items, for the components of creative problem solving skills categorized into (understanding the problem, generating ideas,\u00a0 action planning).<\/span><\/h3>\n

    The apparent validity was verified, and the values of the difficulty and discrimination coefficients were calculated for the test items, as well as the effectiveness of the distracters (distracters) for the objective test items.The value of the test reliability coefficient was also calculated using the Facronbach coefficient, which amounted to (0.82) and the half-split amounted to (0.81).The second of the two tools is the information generation test, which in its final form consisted of (20) items, of which (14) were objective items and (6) essay items.<\/span><\/h3>\n

    The paragraphs were divided into main skills (inductive reasoning, deductive reasoning, prediction, expansion). The apparent validity was verified.The coefficients of difficulty and discrimination were calculated for the objective and essay items, as well as the effectiveness of the dispersals for the objective items, and the values of the reliability coefficient were also calculated using the alpha Cronbach equation, which amounted to (0.667), and by the half-split method, which amounted to (0.929).<\/span><\/h3>\n

    The two research tools were applied in the academic year 2020-2021, where the test for creative problem solving skills was applied on 3\/7\/2021, which falls on Sunday, and the statistical analysis of the data was conducted and processed using the Statistical Portfolio for Social Sciences program SPSS, The one-sample and two-sample t-test equation, Pearson correlation equation, and Point-Basierial correlation coefficient equation were used, and the following results were reached:<\/span><\/h3>\n

    Students of the third stage \/ Department of Chemistry \/ College of Education for Pure Sciences – Ibn Al-Haytham possess creative problem solving skills.<\/span><\/h3>\n

    There are no differences between males and females in creative problem solving skills.<\/span><\/h3>\n

    – There is a direct linear relationship between creative problem solving skills and information generation, with a relative contribution of creative problem solving skills in generating information.<\/span><\/h3>\n

    Based on the results that have been reached, the researcher made a number of recommendations, including the inclusion of programs for teaching thinking in the stages of the Department of Chemistry,and employing educational activities that develop creative problem-solving skills and information generation among students of colleges of education,Training students to generate information to improve the level of creative problem solving,He also presented a number of proposals, including, a study of creative problem solving skills and information generation for students of the Department of Chemistry for other stages.As well as conducting a study to analyze the curricula of the Department of Chemistry or chemistry books for secondary stages according to the skills of creative problem solving and information generation.As well as studying the skills of creative problem solving experimentally with independent variables such as (generative thinking, systemic thinking, systemic intelligence)<\/span><\/h3>\n
