    ABSTRACT<\/span><\/h3>\n

    \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In this thesis, we were focusing on manufacturing ceramics from Iraqi clays. A systematic investigation of the ceramic product made of betonies clay with alumina and silica is the best ceramic production. We employ a variant proportion to the preparation and studies of the ceramics produced in different proportions are an attempt to improve the thermal, insulating and mechanical properties. These ceramics are produced and prepared of a composite material of unsaturated polyester resin (UP) (as a base material for the composite materials) and supported with powder particles. Bentonite clay was used by adding alumina (Al2O3) and Silica (SiO2) with bonding material (Poly Vinyl Alcohol). We employ a variant examination of the micro structure, examination of X-ray diffraction, examination of physical properties, examination of thermal conductivity, insulation tests and mechanical examinations, namely in situ hardness test-test of axial fracture strength and compressive strength. A ceramic model was obtained from Iraqi bentonite with limited additives of alumina. Silica can withstand a temperature of (1300) 0C. Clear correlations between the addition of alumina and silica led to basic phases that gave distinct properties to the new product. An analysis of the structure-properties relations shows that modulus is at a temperature (1250) 0C and it has the lowest value of the porosity (5.41%) and the highest value of the isolation constant (40.94)at the trend (50 Hz), while at the frequency (1MHZ)it is (7.56245)in addition to its high insulation strength (21.07kV). These observations are further consolidated by the resulting Phases, which were characterized by their insulating properties; it even achieves high hardness (90.86) and high axial fracture toughness (24.45 Ma). We even achieve an improvement of the electrical properties, thermal insulation and mechanical properties by the addition of ceramic particles after grinding them to the unsaturated polyester material at a temperature of (1250) 0C For this purpose, the best values of thermal insulation of polymeric composites at the addition rate (0.75%), where it was (27.0W\/m0K).
