    The current research aims to answer the following questions<\/span><\/h3>\n

    What are the visual thinking skills included in the content of middle school chemistry textbooks?<\/span><\/h3>\n

    \u00a0In order to answer these questions and to achieve the goal of the research\u060c the researcher adopted the descriptive and analytical approach\u060c using the method of content analysis\u060c and the research community was represented by the chemistry course for the intermediate stage of the academic year (2020-2021) AD\u060c and a list of visual thinking skills was prepared after reviewing the sources\u060c studies and literature that dealt with visual thinking. And his skills\u060c and a preliminary list of skills was reached\u060c which was verified after being presented to a group of experts and arbitrators\u060c where more than 80% of the opinions of the arbitrators were agreed upon.<\/span><\/h3>\n

    \u00a0The list\u060c in its final form\u060c consisted of six main skills: (recognition of the visual shape\u060c analysis of the visual figure\u060c linking relationships in the visual form\u060c perception and interpretation of ambiguity\u060c distinguishing the visual form\u060c extracting meanings) and by relying on the unit of form as a unit of analysis\u060c and repetition as a unit of counting\u060c the books were analyzed. Chemistry books for the intermediate stage based on visual thinking skills\u060c and a sample of the analysis sample was presented to a number of arbitrators and they agreed on the validity of the analysis process. The stability of the analysis and the stability of the analysis was obtained at a rate ranging from (80% -94%) using the Holste equation\u060c and the results resulted in the chemistry textbooks for the intermediate stage were characterized by a variation in visual thinking skills,<\/span><\/h3>\n

    so the proportions came in varied form and respectively according to the order above (26%\u060c\u00a0 27%\u060c 13%\u060c 13%\u060c 12%\u060c 9%) for each skill in the science book (two chemistry units) for the first intermediate grade and the science book (two chemistry units) for the second grade average\u060c so he got the following percentages<\/span><\/h3>\n

    (29%\u060c 33%\u060c 13 %\u060c 10%\u060c\u00a0 8%\u060c 7%) for each skill. As for the chemistry textbook for the third intermediate grade the visual thinking skills in it obtained the following percentages (31%\u060c 36%\u060c 12%\u060c 10%\u060c 6%\u060c 5%)\u060crespectively<\/span><\/h3>\n

    \u00a0From all this\u060c the researcher concluded that the chemistry textbook for the third intermediate grade was the most concerned with including visual thinking skills at a rate of (47%). Then came the science book for the first intermediate grade with a percentage of (32%) in taking care of including visual thinking skills and finally came the science book (two chemistry units) For the second intermediate grade\u060c at a rate of (21%)\u060cwhich is the least inclusive of these skills<\/span><\/h3>\n
